The collection consists of interviews with former secretaries of the Massachusetts Executive Office of Environmental Affairs (EOEA) conducted at the Massachusetts Historical Society, 2002-03. The collection includes cassette tapes, transcripts of interviews, interviewers' notes for most of the interviews, general background information for the oral history project, and an introduction written by Carolyn Barske. Secretaries interviewed include Charles H.W. Foster, Evelyn F. Murphy, John A. Berwick, James Hoyte, John P. DeVillars, Trudy Coxe, and Robert Durand; and interviewers include Shannon Materka, Carolyn Barske, and Lisa Luna.
